Are you ready to find your creative flow? We will start our Saturday sessions creating beautiful pieces of abstract art using watercolors and line drawing. These colorful, mixed media tutorials will allow you to get into your artistic flow and create a low-stress work of art! Watercolor is an excellent medium to find pleasure in creating abstract paintings without having to worry about getting it just right. It is a way of painting based on general shapes or patterns rather than a real representation of things.

Another type of abstract watercolor involves the depiction of a real scene by using abstract shapes, forms, and colors. It’s possible to suggest a scene or an object without adding realistic detail. With this non-realistic approach, it's surprising just how little information is needed to describe a subject. We will also explore how to use abstract wash (wet on wet) as a background to more detailed design or story (flowers, birds, text, geometric patterns).
